about the pinery

The Pinery is a neighborhood with mountain views, wild flowers and wildlife galore. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the city but is quite near to Parker, Castle Rock and Denver. The mountains are only a couple of hours away, so it offers the best of both worlds. There are approximately 1,800 homes in the Pinery Homeowners’ Association (PHA). Each is unique and has its own atmosphere. Some homes have been built on a hill and have a view spanning from Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs to downtown Denver. Others are nestled in groves of aspens or pine trees with lots of privacy.

The Pinery Loop Trail circles a portion of the neighborhood and passes by Bingham Lake. It also connects to the Cherry Creek Regional Trail. Four public schools serve the Pinery:

1. Mountain View Elementary (K-2)
2. Northeast Elementary (3-5)
3. Sagewood Middle School (6-8)
4. Ponderosa High School (9-12)

The fire station is centrally located in the neighborhood and is part of the South Metro Fire District. This building also houses the PHA office in its lower level. Water is supplied by the Pinery Water and Wastewater District. Electricity is provided by IREA and gas service by Xcel Energy in the north Pinery and Black Hills Energy in the southern Pinery area. All in all, the Pinery is a great place to live with its beauty and convenient location.
