A Public Trail On Private Land
Many Pinery residents have enjoyed hiking, biking, and maybe even horseback riding on Kinney Creek Trail – a Douglas County trail on Colorado Golf Club property. Because this is a Douglas County Trail, Douglas County regulations should be followed which includes dogs being on leash at all times. Because it is private property, trail users must stay on the trail.
The Kinney Creek Trail can be accessed on the northwest side of North Pinery Parkway just east of Pinery Pointe and the Pinery Water District pump station. (see map) .

The Cherry Creek Greenway was originally conceived as a connector trail for hikers, bikers, and equestrians to Cherry Creek, Castlewood Canyon and Chatfield State Parks. To date, approximately 17 of the 24 miles have been constructed. The trail will provide access not only to the state parks, but to neighborhoods, businesses, regional parks, and wildlife habitat. (more information) .
This Trail can be accessed by a connector trail from the sidewalk north of the tennis bubble on N. Pinery parkway at the pinery Country Club and going under Highway 83.
